Does anyone of you know the Egyptian serial killers Raya and Sakina, whose story was known to the world? Here is a brief overview of them:

In the village of Al-Kalah in Upper Egypt, Raya and Sakina Ali Hammam were born in 1890 AD. They were sisters, and they grew up in a poor family. Their father died at a young age, leaving the family to their mother.

Raya and Sakina were beautiful girls, but they were also greedy and bold. After their father died, they had to work to earn a living. They worked in cotton gins, then in prostitution.

In 1913 AD, Sakina moved to Alexandria to live with her new husband, Ahmed Ragab. Her sister Raya later joined her with her family.

In Alexandria, Raya and Sakina begin opening secret brothels. They also started working in the drug trade.

In 1919 AD, the 1919 Revolution broke out in Egypt. Alexandria was one of the cities that participated in the revolution. During the revolution, the city was in a state of chaos and turmoil.

Raya and Sakina took advantage of the chaos and turmoil and began luring women who frequented their homes and killing them in order to steal their jewelry.

Raya and Sakina carefully chose their victims. They were looking for women who wore jewelry.

They lured the victim to their home, then killed her in different ways. They would hit her on the head with a hammer, strangle her, or poison her.

After killing the victim, they buried her in the basement of their house.

Raya and Sakina continued killing women for two years. During this period, they killed between 15 and 20 women.

In 1920 AD, the body of a woman was discovered in the basement of the house. Two holes were dug to make a water pipe for Raya and Sakina. The police were informed and began investigations into the case.

The police were able to arrest Raya and Sakina and their husbands, in addition to two thugs who were helping them kill the women.

At the trial, Raya and Sakina confessed to killing the women. They were sentenced to death, and the sentence was carried out on December 21 and 22, 1921 AD.
